Our aim is to provide basic lodge accommodation for group and family hire and be a centre for hui, retreats, conferences, camps and other gatherings in accordance with our <a href=\"https:\/\/quarantineisland.org.nz\/index.php\/the-communiity\/\">values<\/a> and vision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The calendar of <strong>current bookings is <a href=\"https:\/\/quarantineisland.org.nz\/index.php\/visit\/calendar\/\">here.<\/a><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And here is <strong>information on how to <a href=\"https:\/\/quarantineisland.org.nz\/index.php\/visit\/getting-to-the-island-by-charter-boat\/\">charter a boat<\/a><\/strong> to come to the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is an additional option to use the Married Quarters building for your stay or event for an additional&nbsp;fee. Please discuss&nbsp;this when you make your booking. Our Facilities Day Hire Brochure is available on request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>St Martin Lodge Booking Fees<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prices per night are $40 per adult; $30 per tertiary student; $20 for school-aged children (5-17yrs); under 5\u2019s no charge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A $50 <em>per night<\/em> deposit will apply to all bookings. <strong>This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel your booking giving less than a month&#8217;s notice, unless you transfer to a different date<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>St Martin Lodge accommodates up to 30 people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groups of 7 or more can expect sole use of the facilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For groups of less than 7 who would like sole use we ask for $250 plus $10 per person per night. If you have additional day visitors joining your group we ask for $10 per person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you would like to hire the Married Quarters building for sole use during your stay we ask for $120 for up to 4hrs or $360 over 4hrs (all day).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay online when you know exact numbers, put your name, &#8220;Lodge&#8217; &amp; the date, in the reference code. <br \/><br \/><strong>Our bank account: Quarantine Island Kamau Taurua Community 38 90170478888 00<\/strong><br \/>Alternatively, you can request an invoice, or pay in cash. We aim to keep the Island accessible&nbsp;to everyone. If cost is a genuine barrier to staying, please get in touch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cancellation Policy<\/strong><br \/>Please advise us at least 7 days prior if you wish to cancel your booking. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Check-in &amp; Check-out<\/strong>: Check-in is from 1:00pm and check-out is by 12:00 noon. We understand transport does not always align with these times, but in fairness to all groups, you may be asked to vacate the Lodge by 12 noon. Dining room with tables\/chairs and a heat pump. Our tank water is UV treated and safe to drink. <strong>Please conserve water as much as possible. <\/strong>In very dry weather, you may be asked to bring your own drinking water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We compost food waste. <strong>Please put any food waste in the white bucket labelled &#8220;compost&#8221;<\/strong> in the Lodge Kitchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please take all your recycling and rubbish off the island when you leave. <\/strong>We encourage you to sort your waste for recycling (glass, plastic, paper, soft plastic).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lounge:<\/strong> Heat pump, sofa&#8217;s, armchairs, games, bookcase, coffee table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bathroom<\/strong>: x2 hand basins; x1 shower for occasional use. <strong>Please conserve water as much as possible. <\/strong>If using the shower, <strong>please keep it short (2 minutes)<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Toilets<\/strong>&#8211; x2 composting toilets (shared with day visitors). They can only cope with pee, poo and toilet paper. There is a separate rubbish bin for sanitary products. <strong>Always close the toilet lid after use<\/strong> so warm air can circulate and help with the composting process. This prevents them from getting smelly too. Useful bacteria break down the waste and it&#8217;s critical that <strong>no harsh chemical products are used to clean the toilets<\/strong>. These will kill the beneficial bugs. The Keeper will clean the toilet, using appropriate cleaning products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bedrooms:<\/strong> x2 large bunk rooms sleeping 14 and 11; x1 single room; x1 room with two single beds (Captain&#8217;s cabin); x1 room with double bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the Lodge isn&#8217;t quite big enough for your group there is a small, flat area for camping near the buildings. No camping elsewhere on the Island. <strong>Please note: the maximum number is 30 in the Lodge, including one or two tents.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What we supply<\/strong>: Toilet paper; paper hand towels, hand wash liquid, dish washing liquid, tea towels, and cleaning products, brooms, vacuum, dustpan\/brush, mop etc. <strong>At the end of your stay please leave the accommodation cleaner and tidier than you found it<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What to bring:<\/strong><br \/>&#8211; Sleeping bag<br \/>&#8211; A sheet to cover your DoC style mattress<br \/>&#8211; Pillow &amp; pillow case (optional)<br \/>&#8211; Tea towels (optional)<br \/>&#8211; Hand towels\/Towels<br \/>&#8211; Rubbish bags<br \/>&#8211; Food<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Optional extras: Slippers or thick socks or a hot water bottle will help keep you warm inside the Lodge; Gumboots or walking boots. Waterproof backpack or bag so it doesn&#8217;t get wet and dirty on the boat, or on our jetty when you arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you find anything broken or not working or if you can&#8217;t find
